A simple choice when enjoying tropical fruit
When foreigners visit Vietnam, they will have chances to enjoy various tropical fruits as well as traditional dishes. They can easily buy such fruits from pushcarts.
Pushcarts have glass cases to house fruits ranging from guava, green mango, c sn (jicama), s ri (Malpighia emarginata or acerola) and cóc (hog plums) to watermelon, papaya, pineapple and jackfruit. On top of the cart are pots which store mui t (chili and salt), mui tôm (salt mixed with dried, ground shrimp) or mm ruc (salted shrimp paste). A parasol is often installed to give shade to the hawker and customers.
In HCM City, such pushcarts often gather at parks or in front of schools.
